VISA CHECK CARD Access by using an E53 Visa Check Card. This card lets you make withdrawals on your checking account. The E53 Visa Check Card also lets you make purchases at stores that display the Visa sign. Purchases are deducted from your checking account. E53 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM In an effort to help further the education of our high school students, E53 Federal Credit Union awards Two $1,000 scholarships each year to members who are graduating High School seniors. Additionally, E53 participates in a statewide college scholarship program. E53 members will be competing with high school students from credit unions around New Jersey for the chance to win one of many $1,000 scholarships.
Applicants will be judged on academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, references and personal goals. Proof of imminent attendance at an accredited college or university required. Applications are available in the fall and are due back to E53 in February each year. E53 EDUCATIONAL LOANS You've already made the grades to get into college, now, how do you meet the costs? Perhaps you've found that grants, scholarships, and your own savings aren't enough to pay for your college education. Financing a college education is a complicated task. An E53 Education Loan may be what you need to help pay the remaining costs. Please contact your local E53 branch for more information.
STUDENT VISA The Credit Union offers a Visa for students attending college or technical schools. Not only is it a convenient way for students to charge books, travel and other expenses, but it also helps young people establish a credit history of their own. The Student VISA is a full-service credit card issued in the name of the student with the following conditions:
- Parent or Guardian must be a member of the Credit Union and must act as co-maker on the VISA application.
- Student must maintain a Credit Union Share Savings Account of at least $200.
- Student VISA has a $500 limit.
